Fire/rescue crews responded to a 12:46 p.m. alarm Thursday (Dec 10) for a structure fire at 82-1041 Kinue Road in Captain Cook. Firefighters found a two-story home with approximately 30% of the building on fire primarily in a storage area under the house with flames wrapping around the outside to the top floor.

At 11 a.m. Sunday (September 20), detectives from the Area II Criminal Investigations Section charged 41-year-old Sean Patrick Mitchell of Ocean View with attempted murder in the second degree, assault in the second degree and criminal property damage in the third degree following the reported stabbing at a home in Captain Cook.
