Fire/rescue responded to an 11:45 a.m. alarm Saturday (March 17) to Anaehoomalu Bay in Waikoloa for a missing swimmer.

Crews arrived to find a 10 year-old boy on the beach who was out spearfishing with his father. The boy had come back to shore due to dive mask problems and noticed that his father had not surfaced after watching him swimming about 100 yards offshore.

Fire/rescue crews responded to a 9:45 a.m. alarm Thursday (Feb 11) for a missing stand up paddleboard surfer in Anaehoomalu Bay in Waikoloa.

Witnesses said they saw a paddleboard surfer thrown 'over the falls' on a large wave. The surfer had not been seen for an hour and fragments of his paddleboard were recovered.
