A joint benefit for the University of Hawaii at Hilo and Hilo High School tennis programs will be held on Friday and Saturday, January 29-30 at the Edith Kanakaole Tennis Complex.

On Friday, UHH head coach Kula Oda and former Vulcan/tennis instructor Randy Kunimoto will host a clinic beginning at 6 p.m.

Saturday’s main event will be a round-robin doubles tennis tournament. If you don’t have a partner, a UHH player will be available.

UH-Hilo’s coach Kula Oda named Coach of the Year

University of Hawai‘i at Hilo tennis coach Kula Oda was named the west region men’s Coach of the Year as the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced its Division II postseason award winners. The Vulcans finished the season at 8-8 and were ranked 27th by the ITA. UH Hilo’s Eve Castaing and Kevin Tamura were named Players to Watch.
