PTA to receive $800K upgrade to Hawaii Army National Guard facility

To provide more storage space for increased and improved military training, the Hawai‘i Army National Guard (HIARNG) will be receiving $800,000 in Capital Improvement Project funds from the state to construct a warehouse facility within the Pohakuloa Training Area.

Soldiers from the 871st Engineer Company are scheduled to convoy from the Hilo Army Reserve Forces Center to Pōhakuloa Training Area (PTA) on Feb. 22-23; convoys begin at 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 22 and at 8 a.m. on Feb. 23, 2018.

Soldiers from the 728th Military Police Battalion and Marines from VMU-3 are scheduled to convoy from Kawaihae Docks to Pohakuloa Training Area (PTA) Jan. 15 and 17, 2018. The convoy are scheduled to start at 8 a.m. on both days and should be completed by no later than 3:30 p.m.

Soldiers from the 2-6th Cavalry Regiment are scheduled to convoy from Pohakuloa Training Area (PTA) to Kawaihae Docks Nov. 27 and 29. The convoys are scheduled to start at 8 a.m. Nov. 27, and to start at 9 a.m. Nov. 29. On both dates, all convoys should be completed by no later than 3:30 p.m.
