Fire/rescue crews responded to a 7:09 a.m. alarm Sunday (Aug 26) to the area between the 82-83 mile markers of Mamalahoa Highway south (Route 11) for a crash.
Crews arrived to find an overturned vehicle about 20 yards off the roadway. In the vehicle was a man about 40-years-old dead with fatal injuries.
One lane of traffic was closed to traffic as emergency crews worked on the scene and police investigated the single-vehicle crash. Police reported both lanes open to traffic at 11 a.m.
