Fire re-burns abandoned home in Puna

Fire/rescue crews responded to a 9:05 a.m. alarm Thursday (June 28) to 16-1994 King Kamehameha Blvd for a structure fire.

Crews arrived to find an abandoned single-story previously burned home with about 25 percent of the rear of the home on fire. Firefighters had the blaze under control by 9:22 a.m. and declared it out at 9:45 a.m.

There were no injuries reported in the fire and the cause is undetermined.
