Hawaiʻi Island Police are asking the public for help in identifying the person whose image was captured by store security in connection with a theft from a Downtown Hilo store. On Tuesday, (September 5), an adult male shoplifted an item from a Downtown Hilo Store. His image was captured by store security.

In response to complaints received from the public, officers from a Special Enforcement Unit, Kona Community Policing, Area II Vice and Kona Patrol, served a search warrant at a property in the 76-6200 block of Alii Drive.

On, (November 28), at approximately 4:00 p.m., Kona Police served a search warrant at an apartment located on Pawai Place in the Kona Industrial Area. Upon executing the warrant, a Special Enforcement Unit recovered marijuana, meth, heroin, illegal pills, and drug paraphernalia.
