North Kona customers required to cut water usage by due to well repairs

Due to ongoing repairs to its wells in North Kona, the Department of Water Supply’s mandatory Water Restriction Notice is still in effect. The Water Restriction Notice requires consumers to reduce water consumption by 25%. Listed are some ways to conserve water to reach the 25% goal.

Average gas prices in Hawaii fall four cents per gallon the past week

Average retail gasoline prices in Hawaii have fallen 4.0 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.08/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 355 gas outlets in Hawaii. This compares with the national average that has increased 0.5 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.28/g, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.
