Fire destroys Kurtistown home Tuesday (Dec 13)

Firefighters responded to a 4:56 p.m. alarm Tuesday (Dec 13) to 17-4437 South Road in Kurtistown for a structure fire.

Crews arrived to find a single story home engulfed in flames. Firefighters had the blaze under control by 5:38 p.m. and it was declared out at 7:33 p.m.

There was nobody living in the home and there were no injuries reported.

The home was destroyed at a total loss estimated to be $120,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
