Partial lane closure in Honaunau due to accident investigation

The Hawai’i Police Department reports that Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11), south of the 107 mile marker in Honaunau, South Kona is now open. There was a one lane closure at this location as the Hawai’i Police Department’s Area II Traffic Enforcement Unit’s investigators continue their investigation into an earlier traffic accident. The Hawai’i Police Department thanks motorist for their patience and understanding and asks all to continue to drive with Aloha.

The Hawai’i Police Department reports a partial lane closure of Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11), south of the 107 mile marker in Honaunau, South Kona. This partial one lane road closure will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will re-open at about 11:30 a.m. as the Hawai’i Police Department’s Area II Traffic Enforcement Unit investigators continue their investigation into a recent traffic accident.

Please use extra caution while at this location while investigators conduct their investigation. Please also expect delays. The Hawai’i Police Department thanks you for your patience and understanding.
