Mamalahoa Hwy (Route 190) is now open to traffic in both directions. The roadway was partially closed earlier due to a brushfire.

The Hawaii Police Department reports that Mamlahoa Highway (Route 190) will be partially closed (Makai lane) due to a brush fire between the 14 and 16 mile markers which is south of the Daniel K. Inouye Highway junction. Motorist are being asked to use alternate routes while the Hawai’i Fire Deparment address this brush fire.
