Military convoys in East and West Hawaii June 28-29, 2016

Military convoys from Pohakuloa to Hilo, June 28-29, 2016

POHAKULOA TRAINING AREA, Hawaii – Service members are scheduled to convoy from Pōhakuloa Training Area (PTA) to Keaukaha Military Reservation, in Hilo, Tuesday and Wednesday.

The anticipated convoy times are from 12:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m.

Convoys will use the Daniel K. Inouye Highway, Puainako Extension Route 2000, Komohana Avenue, West Puainako Street, Kanoelehua Avenue (Highway 11), and Hilo Airport Road.

Motorists are advised to be alert and drive with care. Convoys will have yellow flashing lights and convoy signage.

The PTA Department of Army police are working closely with local authorities and military units to coordinate this activity in support of unit training.

POHAKULOA TRAINING AREA, Hawaii – Oahu-based service members are scheduled to convoy from Pohakuloa Training Area (PTA) to Kawaihae Harbor, Tuesday and Wednesday. The anticipated convoy times are from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Convoys will use the Daniel K. Inouye Highway, Mamalahoa Highway, Waikoloa Road, Queen Kaahumanu Highway, and Akoni Pule Corridor.

Motorists are advised to be alert and drive with care. Convoys will have yellow flashing lights and convoy signage.

The PTA Department of Army police are working closely with local authorities and military units to coordinate this activity in support of unit training and readiness. Motorists are advised to be alert and drive with care.
