The lava pond in the western portion of PuÊ»u Ê»ÅŒÊ»Å crater remains active, and has enlarged since our last observation. The pond today was about 50 m (160 ft) in diameter, with spattering along the western margin. Photo taken Thursday, June 23, 2016 courtesy of USGS/HVO
