Three government vehicles stolen in Hilo

Hawaiʻi Island police are investigating the theft of three U.S. government vehicles from Hilo.

Early Tuesday morning (April 26), a gray 2011 Ford pickup truck, a white 2014 Ford flatbed truck and a black 2013 Ford Explorer were removed from the 600 block of Aohoku Place in Hilo. All three vehicles had federal license plates.

Police ask anyone with information about this case to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311 or contact Officer Donovan Kohara at 961-2272 or donovan.kohara@hawaiicounty.gov

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
