Sayre Foundation offers $5K reward to catch arson culprit(s) in brushfires

MEDIA RELEASE

The Daniel R. Sayre Memorial Foundation, in support of the Hawai‘i Fire Department, is offering up to a $5,000.00 reward leading to the arrest and conviction for arson of any individual(s) apprehended for igniting arson related fires on Hawai‘i Island. These fires endanger the lives of our community members, their properties and the natural resources of our Island home.

Suppressing wildfires taxes our already burdened budget for the Hawai‘i Fire Department and enlists personnel that might otherwise be needed to help in other emergencies. Arson negatively affects everyone.

Information may be called in to the Hawai‘i Police Department’s non-emergency number at 935-3311.

To further support the Arsonist Fund for the Daniel R. Sayre Memorial Foundation, tax-deductible donations may be sent to P.O. Box 1285 Kailua-Kona, Hawai‘i 96745. Respectfully,

Laura A. Mallery-Sayre, Executive Director
Dr. Frank H. Sayre
