Police still seeking suspects in Mountain View burglary

Hawaiʻi Island police are renewing their request for information about a burglary on June 10, when an all-terrain vehicle and other items were stolen from a Mountain View coffee plantation.

Some of the items taken during the burglary have since been recovered. Still missing is an all-terrain vehicle described as a Kawasaki 750 “Brute Force” in green camouflage-type paint.

Images of two persons were captured on surveillance cameras. Police ask anyone who recognizes them to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the islandwide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. Crime Stoppers is a volunteer program run by ordinary citizens who want to keep their community safe. Crime Stoppers doesn’t record calls or subscribe to caller ID.
