Man charged in Hilo assault

MEDIA RELEASE

A 32-year-old man has been charged with four offenses in connection with a confrontation Wednesday (December 2) in a Hilo parking lot on Makaʻala Street.

At 3 p.m. Friday, after conferring with prosecutors, detectives charged David James Nall with attempted second-degree assault, second-degree terroristic threatening, fourth-degree criminal property damage and disorderly conduct. His bail was set at $3,500.

He remains at the Hilo police cellblock pending his initial court appearance scheduled for Monday (December 7).
