Vehicle registration and licensing services expanded in Waimea

The County of Hawaiʻi Department of Finance has expanded services in North Hawaiʻi area with the opening of a new Vehicle Registration & Licensing office in Waimea, at the former Kamuela Deli site.

The new location in the Waimea Center, 65-1158 Mamalahoa Hwy, Ste 1-A, replaces a counter at the Waimea Police Station. The new office expands available services to include driver licensing, driver license testing, and motor vehicle registration. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily with written exam hours from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In addition to providing additional services more conveniently to North Hawaiʻi residents, the Finance Department anticipates this will reduce lines and service times at other locations. Vehicle registration is also available online or through the mail for many customers.
