The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a high surf advisory for the Kona Coast of Hawaii Island until 6 p.m. this evening. Surf is forecast to be in the 6-10 foot range along the West facing shores of Hawaii Island.

Hawai‘i Electric Light crews have completed the replacement of a transmission pole on Kuakini Highway near Ka‘alele Street in Honalo. The pole was damaged in a motor vehicle accident earlier this morning and required a partial lane closure while the pole was being replaced.
