Rescue crews spent the day searching for a 62-year-old woman who was swept away while swimming by currents on Monday (Sept 14) at the Boiling Pots area of the Wailuku River.

Crews used Chopper One to do an aerial search while ground crews checked the river banks and water crews checked the river eddies near the woman’s last known location. Due to raging riverwater conditions crews were not able to dive into the main part of the river.
