Hawaiʻi Island police have located 50-year-old William Chase of Kurtistown, who was wanted for an incident in Kurtistown last week.

Chase was arrested at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday (August 11) on suspicion of burglary and four counts of terroristic threatening.

He was taken to the Hilo police cellblock while detectives from the Area I Criminal Investigations Section continue the investigation.

At 7:45 p.m. Friday (August 7), Chase reportedly went to a home on Uau Road in Kurtistown and brandished a firearm at the 19-year-old male acquaintance who answered the door. He then reportedly entered the house and threatened a 44-year-old woman, a teenage boy and a teenage girl with the weapon before leaving in a pickup truck.
