Police to air new ‘Hawaii Island’s Most Wanted’ TV show Friday (May 1)

The most recent edition of the Crime Stoppers television program “Hawaiʻi Island’s Most Wanted” highlights two men wanted on bench warrants and for questioning in other investigations.

The new episode begins airing Friday (May 1).

In it, police ask for help in locating 23-year-old Collins Hopeau, who is wanted on a no-bail bench warrant for violating probation. He is also wanted for questioning in a burglary investigation. He is described as 5-foot-9, 190 pounds with brown hair and black eyes. His last known address was in Pāhoa.

The television program also asks for help in locating 47-year-old Peter Everett Fuerte, who is wanted on two ten-thousand-dollar bench warrants for contempt of court. He is also wanted for questioning in an investigation of unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle. He is described as 5-foot-8, 200 pounds and bald with a beard and numerous tattoos on his arms and body. He may be in Kaʻū.

In this latest edition of “Hawaiʻi Island’s Most Wanted,” which was pre-recorded, Officer Bryan Tina also asks for help in locating 59-year-old Catherine Surtees of Kailua-Kona. She was located April 29 and arrested and charged with abuse of a family/household member.

Police asks anyone with information about Hopeau or Fuerte to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311 or Crime Stoppers at 961-8300. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential. Crime Stoppers does not tape record phone calls or subscribe to caller ID.

“Hawaiʻi Island’s Most Wanted” is a project of Crime Stoppers Hilo, Inc., which is a partnership of the business community, the media and the police. It was inspired by the national TV show, “America’s Most Wanted.” The program airs on Na Leo O Hawaiʻi Community Television Channel 54 on Sundays at 5 p.m. and Fridays at 5:30 p.m. It also airs intermittently on Channel 53.
