AFP Aloha Chapter nonprofit training (Feb. 26)

MEDIA RELEASE

Nonprofits on Hawaii Island interested in learning more about starting or growing a major gifts program are encouraged to attend the Association for Fundraising Professionals Aloha Chapter’s one-day workshop titled Increasing Your Contributions Through a Major Gift Program.

The workshop is 9 a.m.-noon Thursday, Feb. 26 at North Hawaii Hospice located at 65-1328 Kawaihae Road in Waimea.

Executive directors, development staff, board members and fundraising volunteers are welcome to attend.

“We’re thrilled to be able to present a workshop that is affordable for our members and other interested fundraisers on Hawaii Island that will provide valuable information for community organizations in that county,” says Mike Moses, AFP Aloha Chapter board president.

The workshop is for organizations that want to raise significantly more money by making the leap into major gifts fundraising, but haven’t had the courage or know-how.

The cost to attend is $20 for AFP members and $40 for non-members.

For questions or interest in AFP chapter membership, email office@afphawaii.org.
