Pahoa Community Aquatic Center open evenings

MEDIA RELEASE

The county Department of Parks and Recreation will keep the Pahoa Community Aquatic Center open until 8 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays to accommodate nighttime swim sessions.

Swimmers of all ages are invited to the free openswim sessions that start Wednesday, Jan. 21.

Children younger than 11 years old must be accompanied and supervised by a parent, guardian or responsible adult.

Nighttime swim sessions at the Pahoa Community Aquatic Center are being offered on a trial basis to gauge patron interest and to meet the needs of swimmers who requested extended operating hours.
