Hawaii Island paddlers are invited to participate in the upcoming relay race for OC-1, OC-2, OC-3 and Surfskis, which will be held Saturday, Jan. 17.

Sponsored by Jackie Rey’s Ohana Grill, this event features a two-leg relay with the first 6-mile course paddled from Keauhou Bay to Kamakahonu Beach in Kailua, and after the tag off to the relay partner(s), the second 6-mile leg will return from Kailua Pier to the finish line inside Keauhou Bay.

All paddlers must check in at Keauhou Canoe Club between 8 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. in order to receive their race T-shirt. The pre-race meeting will take place at 9:50 a.m. and the race will start outside Keauhou Bay at 10 a.m. sharp.

The event will be celebrated with a lunch provided by Jackie Rey’s and awards will be presented at the Keauhou Canoe Club halau.
