Fire/rescue crews responded to a 12:53 p.m. alarm Tuesday (Jan 13) to Keawaeli Bay off Old Halaula Mill Road for a 68-year-old woman who fell about eight feet down a cliff onto rocks.

The woman lost her footing on uneven ground while looking out onto the ocean when she fell and was complaining of neck pains after the fall. She fell onto the shoreline northwest of Kauhola Point Light. Her boyfriend and ATV Outfitters staff attended to the woman until rescue arrived who airlifted her with Chopper One to a medic unit which transported her to North Hawaii Community Hospital where she was treated for her injuries.
