Shed destroyed, home saved in HPP fire

Fire crews arrived Thursday afternoon at a home on 28th Street in Hawaiian Paradise Park, Keaau to find a large shed fully engulfed by fire.

The 480-square-foot shed was destroyed, causing an estimated $24,000 in damage, but the single-family dwelling was spared.

No injuries were reported.

The first alarm was at 2:11 p.m., and the first crews arrived on scene at 2:19 p.m.

The fire was extinguished by 2:30 p.m.

Fire investigators are searching for the cause of the blaze.
