A fire Sunday afternoon fully engulfed a home on Kahili Street in Honokaa, but no one was hurt.

Emergency crews arrived to find the second story of the 2,000 square foot home fully engulfed.

County fire crews fought back the blaze.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.

American Red Cross volunteers responded to a residential fire in Honokaa. The fire destroyed the home and affected one family.

Red Cross volunteers went to the scene to ensure the immediate emergency needs of anyone affected, such as shelter, food and clothing, were met.

Caseworkers will continue to follow up with the family to ensure their immediate needs are met, and to provide referrals to assist with their disaster recovery.
