Civil Defense siren test postponed until Tuesday (Dec 2)

MEDIA RELEASE

The Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency in partnership with the State Civil Defense will be postponing the monthly test of the warning siren system to tomorrow Tuesday December 2nd. This change is to avoid disruption with planned statewide inauguration activities.

The public is reminded that the monthly siren test is normally conducted on the first working day of each month and to monitor local radio broadcasts with siren soundings to receive additional information on the siren system activation.

We apologize for any disruption or inconvenience this may cause and extend our appreciation for your understanding. Anyone having questions regarding this test may contact the Hawai’i County Civil Defense Agency at 935-0031.
