Tropical Storm Wali on track towards Hawaiian Islands

At 5 p.m. HST, the center of Tropical Storm Wali was located near latitude 13.7 north, longitude 141.4 west. Wali is moving toward the northwest near 12 mph, 19 km/h, and this motion is expected to continue during the next 48 hours.

Maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph, 75 km/h, with higher gusts. Additional strengthening is expected over the next 24 hours followed by weakening.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 90 miles, 150 km from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1003 mb, 29.62 inches.
