Basketball fans packed Kealakehe High School gym Sunday afternoon for their first chance to see the Harlem Globetrotters in Kona.

The Harlem Globetrotters took on the World All Stars for a game, interrupted by a series of fun time outs and opportunities for young fans to interact with the players.

This year’s tour featured a trio of goofy rules that fans could choose that included ‘Make or Miss,’ ‘Hot Hands’ and the Trick Shot Challenge. The game also included 4-point shot spots.

On the court, Hi-Lite took control and directed the action with teammates Bull, Dizzy, Flight Time, Hacksaw, Hammer, Handles, Too Tall and T-Time, the lone woman on the current roster.

The Globetrotters prevailed, winning the game 85-77.

Players stayed on the court after the game to chat with fans, sign autographs and pose for photos.

The team is wrapping up its 2014 Fans Rule Tour with a handful of appearances in Hawaii. Next up, some well deserved time off.
