Police community meeting in Naalehu Tuesday (March 18)

MEDIA RELEASE

The Hawaiʻi Police Department will hold a community meeting at noon on Tuesday, March 18, at the Nāʻālehu Community Center.

The purpose of the meeting is to allow the public to meet the Police Department’s command staff and to discuss concerns with the police chief and commanders who oversee police operations in the Kaʻū District.

The Kaʻū event continues the district community meetings, which are rotated throughout the eight police districts on the Hawaiʻi Island. To aid police commanders in focusing on specific concerns, it is requested that participation be limited to persons who live or work in the Kaʻū District.

Those interested in participating but unable to attend may call Captain Burt Shimabukuro at 939-2520, stop by the Kaʻū police station in Nāʻālehu or e-mail their concerns or comments to copsysop@hawaiipolice.com.
