Six chefs received President’s Medallions from the American Culinary Federation (ACF) March 3 at the 2014 ACF Western Regional Conference held at Oakland Marriott City Center, Oakland, Calif., March 2-5.
In 1991, Jack Braun, CEC®, AAC®, HOF, then national president, introduced the presentation of ACF President’s Medallions as tokens of appreciation to members who exemplify culinary excellence and leadership, and have contributed their knowledge, skills and expertise to the advancement of the culinary profession. ACF National President Thomas Macrina, CEC®, CCA®, AAC®, and ACF Western Region Vice President David Goodwin, CEC®, CCA®, AAC®, presented President’s Medallions to the following ACF members.
The 2014 ACF Western Regional Conference, hosted by ACF San Francisco Chapter, provided attendees with opportunities to advance their professional development and enhance their culinary skills through business seminars, cooking demonstrations featuring the latest trends and techniques, culinary competitions and awards.
