Police are searching for a Kohala man reported missing

Hawaiʻi Island police are searching for a 38-year-old Kohala man who was reported missing.

Jonathan Riveira was last seen at a Hāwī home Sunday afternoon (January 12). He has a medical condition that requires medication.

He is described as 5-foot-9, 145 pounds with brown eyes and short black hair.

Police ask anyone with information on her whereabouts to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311 or contact Officer Dayton Tagaca at 889-6540.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. Crime Stoppers is a volunteer program run by ordinary citizens who want to keep their community safe. Crime Stoppers doesn’t record calls or subscribe to caller ID.
