Kona burglaries, thefts (Jan. 3-10)

MEDIA RELEASE

Kona Community Policing staff compile a regular listing of burglaries and thefts in the West Hawaii community. This update covers Jan. 3-10.

BURGLARIES

On Jan. 7, a reported burglary in the 600 block of Nuole Place. Food item taken.

On Jan. 7, a reported burglary in the 5200 block of Queen Kaahumanu Highway. U.S. currency taken.

On Jan. 9, a reported burglary in the 6300 block of Kilohana Street. U.S. Currency taken.

UCPV (STOLEN VEHICLE)

On Jan. 6, a reported UCPV in the 6000 block of Kinue Road. A white 2003 Ford Econovan with HI Lic#651HDS was taken. Vehicle has been located.

On Jan. 6, a reported UCPV in the 5500 block of Olowalu Street. A silver 2002 Mazda MPV with HI Lic#HBU083 was taken.

UEMV (THEFT FROM VEHICLE)

On Jan. 4, a reported UEMV in the 5700 block of Kalawa Street, U.S. currency taken.

On Jan. 4, a reported UEMV in the area of Kahaluu Beach Park, U.S. currency taken.

On Jan. 8, a reported UEMV in the 6800 block of Alii Highway. A purse with contents was taken.

On Jan. 9, a reported UEMV in the 900 block of Kaiminani Drive. A boogie board and fins were taken.
