Police locate woman wanted on warrants

Hawaiʻi Island police are searching for a 22-year-old woman wanted on five outstanding $50,000 bench warrants.

Shaylyn Momi Araw is described as 5-foot-3, 110 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair.

She may be in Hilo or Pepeʻekeo.

Police ask anyone with information on her whereabouts to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. Crime Stoppers is a volunteer program run by ordinary citizens who want to keep their community safe. Crime Stoppers doesn’t record calls or subscribe to caller ID. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.

Hawaiʻi Island police have located 22-year-old Shaylyn Momi Araw, who was wanted on five outstanding $50,000 bench warrants.

She was located and arrested Wednesday in Hilo.
