Hawaii 24/7 Staff
Residents along the Kona Coast felt a 3.2 earthquake Saturday night, but no damage was reported.
The USGS and Hawaii Volcano Observatory reported the temblor occurred at 9:27 p.m., was centered 17 miles northwest of Kailua-Kona and at a depth of nearly 10 miles.
Residents from Waimea to South Kona felt the jolt. It prompted at least one Kona family to jump up and head for the doorway.
However, it was not felt by several families south of Captain Cook.
