Lawrence named Big Isle project developer for RevoluSun

RevoluSun has hired Julie Lawrence as a project developer for its Big Island division.

In her new role, Lawrence will be responsible for educating and working with residential and commercial customers to achieve energy independence by designing custom solar systems and finding the best financing options available to meet their needs and take advantage of government incentives.

Most recently, Lawrence served as a special education teacher at Kealakehe Intermediate School. She is also president of Akamai Home Loans, a company that she founded and has owned for more than 10 years.

Previously, she spent more than 16 years with First Hawaiian Bank, holding several senior leadership positions within the Residential Real Estate division.

Lawrence graduated with a BA in Business Administration from Mount Saint Mary’s College in Los Angeles. She also holds a post-baccalaureate certificate in Special Education from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

She currently resides in Kailua-Kona and has served her community for more than 20 years.
