Fire officials are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a home Friday afternoon on Lalakea Street in Pahoa.

Firefighter crews report they were alerted at 2:41 p.m. and arrived to find the 1,200-square-foot home engulfed in flames.

Two occupants were not injured.

The one-story, three-bedroom, two-bathroom home was deemed a complete loss, with total damage estimated at $187,500.
