Guy Toyama Memorial Day Celebration (Dec. 1)

MEDIA RELEASE

The Guy Toyama Memorial Fund hosts a beach clean up and community BBQ to honor Toyama’s vision for the environment.

Attendees will then join hands in a collaborative human aerial art event that will be photographed from the sky to capture the moment with a visual keepsake.

Wear pink, red, white or bright green/yellow so the image will stand out against the lava.

Water, gloves and bags provided. Prepare for the sun with hats /sunscreen / closed toe shoes and bring swimsuit / towel.

Who: The Guy Toyama Memorial Fund and The Institute for a Sustainable Future (ISF), a Hawaii 501(c)3 is sponsoring this event

What: 1st Annual Guy Toyama Day Celebration: A Gathering for Guy: Beach Cleanup, BBQ, aerial art event and photo

When: Sunday Dec. 1, 2013, rain or shine.

2-4 p.m.: Beach clean up and BBQ -Meet at NELHA Beach Park (set up by parking lot / bathrooms)

4-5 p.m.: Gather for aerial art image and helicopter fly-by
