Hawaii Volcanoes National Park announces the following upcoming flight plans:

* 10 a.m.-noon Thursday, Nov. 7 in the Mauna Ulu region off Chain of Craters Road

* 1-2 p.m. Mondy, Nov. 18 over coastal park areas of Halape, Keauhou, and Apua Point

* 2-3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, over Halape

* 6-10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26 in Kahuku (former paddock area)

The park regrets any noise impact to residents and park visitors.

Dates and times are subject to change based on aircraft availability and weather.

Management of the park requires the use of aircraft to monitor and research volcanic activity, conduct search-and-rescue missions and law enforcement operations, support management of natural and cultural resources, and to maintain backcountry facilities.
