The county Department of Parks and Recreation announces the temporary closure of the tennis courts at Kailua- Kona’s Makaeo Park, also known as the Old Kona Airport Park, so the courts may be resurfaced.

All of the park’s tennis courts will be closed Monday, Sept. 9, through Friday, Sept. 20.

Volunteers will perform the maintenance project.

The Department of Parks and Recreation thanks the public for its understanding and patience while this important work is occurring.
