Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard will visit the Big Island next week, as well as making public appearances on Oahu and Kauai

The visits are part of her continuing effort to meet with local organizations that are promoting educational and economic opportunities for Hawaii’s keiki and families.

Hawaii Island Schedule:

Noon: Deliver remarks and present congratulatory certificates to Kealakehe High School robotics students for their success in the 2013 International MATE (Marine Advanced Technology Education) Center Underwater Robotics Competition. The team won the Safety Conscious Award for exhibiting exemplary safety practices.

12:45 p.m.: Tour Kealakehe High School

3:30 p.m.: Tour and receive a demonstration at the Hawaii Preparatory Academy Energy Lab. The lab is dedicated to the study of renewable energy and the environmental education of the next generation of students.
