Kona burglaries, thefts (Aug. 9-14)

MEDIA RELEASE

Kona Community Policing staff compile a weekly listing of burglaries and thefts in the West Hawaii community. This update covers Aug. 9-14.

BURGLARIES

On Aug. 10, a reported burglary in the 200 block of Royal Poinciana Dr. Attempted entry, screen was pried.

UCPV (STOLEN VEHICLE)

No stolen vehicles reported.

UEMV (THEFT FROM VEHICLE)

On Aug. 9, a reported UEMV in the 6600 block of Mamalahoa Highway. A cellphone was removed.

On Aug. 12, a reported UEMV in the area of the Royal Poinciana/Alii Drive intersection. A wallet and keys were taken.

On Aug. 13, a reported UEMV in the 5600 block of Palani Road. Electronics were removed.
