Parker School’s Kāko‘o fund campaign raises nearly $230,000

MEDIA RELEASE

Parker School is pleased to announce that its Kāko‘o Fund campaign raised just under $230,000 for its Annual Fund for Education and for various projects, surpassing a $200,000 goal.

The capital campaign ran from July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013.

In addition to the Annual Fund, the funds will be allocated for the following improvements to the school’s campus and programs: science lab renovation; deck to connect the middle school buildings; technology enhancements; and a new, high-quality event tent. Construction has begun on the lab and the deck. These will be ready for use at the start of the 2013-2014 school year.

Parker is grateful for the generosity and support of the school’s ‘ohana, faculty and staff, parents, alumni, board members and friends who contributed to the campaign, particularly the Parker School Trust Corporation, that donated $50,000 in matching funds.
