Police warn public about magazine sales scam

Hawai´i Island police are warning the public about a recent company selling magazines door to door.

The salesperson says that they are selling the magazines to benefit a local high school or get points for college or for cancer research.

The individual obtain personal information from the buyers and uses this information fraudulently and the magazine(s) that the buyers order never arrives.

Some of the names the company has been using are, Frontline Communications, LLC; HP Consulting and MD Network. They originated in the State of Colorado where they have been fined for 1 million dollars.
