The annual King Kamehameha Day Celebration Parade featured pa‘u riders, floats, hula halau, equestrian and other units. The parade started near the Royal Kona Resort and made its way along Alii Drive to Kuakini Highway.
After the parade, a hoolaulea (music and art festival) at Courtyard King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel, including a free concert by Nathan Kawai Aweau, three-time Na Hoku Hanohano award-winning male vocalist of the year.
