Puna Roundtable ‘Ready To Learn’ school supply distribution

MEDIA RELEASE

Children pre-school to 12 grade may receive free basic school supplies at the ninth annual school supplies distribution 8:30-11:30 a.m. June 22 at Makuu Farmers Market and St. Theresa Parish Hall in Mt. View.

Adults need to be accompanied by a child. School supplies are given on a first come, first served basis until supplies last.

All children will receive:

* Colored Pencils (12 count) – 1 pack

* Colored Markers (12 count) – 1 pack

* Composition Books – 2

* Ruler – 1

In addition, children grades K-5 will receive:

* Crayons (24 count) – 1 pack

* Scissors – 1

Children grades 6-12 will receive:

* Binder paper – 1

* Three Ring Binders – 1

Light refreshments will be provided at both sites. Keiki ID will be available at Makuu Farmers Market.

The event is presented by the Neighborhood Place of Puna’s, Puna Roundtable Ready to Learn Committee in an effort to help our Big Island families ensure that their Keiki begin the school year, “Ready to Learn”.
