MEDIA RELEASE

Waimea Country School and the Annunciation Emergency Food Pantry have completed their fourth year of partnership, with plans to continue working together in the next school year.

Waimea Country School families donated 851 pounds of food to the food pantry this year, and students in grades 4 through 6 volunteered each Tuesday morning, re-bagging 2,007 pounds of rice to distribute to those in need in our community.

The Annunciation Emergency Food Pantry provides emergency food support for about 1,000 people each month, with 10,000 community members in need helped during the 10 months of WCS service.
