Kona Japanese Civic Association festival (June 2)

The Kona Japanese Civic Association hosts its annual meeting, festival and Kodomo Nohi event 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday, June 2 at Konawaena High School Cafeteria.

The public is invited to attend and enjoy the Japanese food, including Okonomiyaki, mochi, tako yaki, and natto. Japanese curry will be served for lunch as well as hot dogs for the children.

Ikebana, origami, and Japanese calligraphy will be among the cultural activities. There will also be activities and games for children.

Enjoy entertainment of Japanese singing and dancing, Taisho koto, shamisen, and ukelele performance.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for child 3 -10 years old.
